Pre-Trip Inspection Course

Pre-Trip Inspection Course Brampton

Sometimes, as a trucker, you will run into unexpected problems on the road. That is just part of life in the trucking industry. Many problems, however, can be avoided with a proper pre-trip inspection. Pre-trip inspections are not only the smart thing to do – they are also required by law for any commercial tractor trailer that has a gross weight of more than 4500 kg. And as a driver, you are accountable for any issues with your vehicle and its trailer.

Daily pre-trip inspections are a crucial aspect of every truck driver’s job. They can alert to you mechanical issues and ensure that you are in compliance with safety regulations once you get out on the road.

In Trukademy’s Pre-Trip Inspection Course you will learn the important steps that you’ll need to take during each inspection to keep you safe on your run and to potentially avoid fines or major repair bills on your truck at the side of the road.

What is a Pre-Trip Inspection?

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough vehicle check performed by the driver before they begin their run. To avoid potential safety violations or breakdowns, you need to make sure that each part of your truck is performing as it should. Potential problems can be identified and reported.

Not only does this help prevent unsafe vehicles from going out on the road, but if your vehicle does require repairs, it can reduce the amount of time and cost necessary if the problem is identified early.

You are required to conduct a pre-trip inspection at the beginning of each run as well as once every 24 hours while you are on the road.
