CVOR Training Mississauga

CVOR stands for Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration, and if you wish to drive a commercial truck for a living in Ontario, you will be required to have a valid CVOR certificate. At Trukademy, we offer an extensive CVOR training course in order to prepare you for your CVOR test.

If you are a commercial operator driving any of the following types of vehicles, you will need a CVOR certificate:

  • A commercial truck with a gross weight of more than 4500 kg.
  • A bus that seats 10 or more passengers.
  • Tow trucks (regardless of weight).

Who is exempt from requiring a CVOR certificate?

  • Buses or trucks that have plates from another Canadian province or territory.
  • Trucks that are being leased for less than 30 days in order to move personal items.
  • Buses that are being leased for less than 30 days in order to transport passengers who are not paying a fare.
  • Emergency response vehicles.
  • Vehicles with dealer plates or in-transit permits.
  • Motor homes
  • Most pick-up trucks.

The CVOR system is responsible for monitoring safety as it relates to:

  • Operating a commercial vehicle
